- COIN is coordinating the Steering Committee for the Peterborough Centre for Social Innovation (PSCI). The PSCI vision is to provide a dynamic community space for creative, social and entrepreneurial engagement. We try to see the big picture of how money moves through our region and what the impact of that economic activity is for the people who live here. We collaborate with entrepreneurs, business, government, and others to assess the needs of different people in our community and brainstorm how we could use local resources to meet those needs in a way that is healthy and economically viable. We provide people with the training they need to find appropriate employment. We work with adults with developmental disabilities and other exceptionalities, as well as individuals facing a variety of other barriers to employment. Most of our enterprises provide some kind of training opportunity.
